Hey! Do me a favour and pretend the date is October 11th, 2022. That was when I initially planned to release a lyric video to promote my then-latest single ‘Head’ from the yet-to-be-released LP ‘Under the Surface’. Turns out making videos is hard and takes time - especially when you want to animate a disembodied brain-munching head and you have no animation skills.

Well, it’s here! My very first album. It only took 4 years, 3 dead cats, and 1 mental breakdown to get here, but we made it! If you’re in the mood for songs about loss, grief, anxiety, and existential dread (and who isn’t?), to Bandcamp (or any other streaming platform) and help yourself to some tunes! Nameless Ghost’s newest single, ‘Head’, is now available to buy and stream on all platforms. If the previous single ‘Slow Down’ was too slow for you, then maybe you’ll be pleased to know that ‘Head’ veers towards the opposite end of the tempo spectrum. Of course, as you will soon find out with Nameless Ghost, the up-tempo, lo-fi rock sound of this new offering does not mean the song is a happy one. As is the theme of the forthcoming LP ‘Under the Surface’, ‘Head’ deals with the loss of a loved one and trying to come to grips with being left only with their ever-fleeting memory.
I tried my hand at making a music video for ‘Slow Down’. I wanted to make something that wouldn’t involve making a fool of myself out in public, so I just stuck to my recording space. While editing, I thought it was a bit boring, so I went for a walk around my neighbourhood, sticking mainly to the back alleys, looking for interesting things that caught my eye. I shot footage of those things and added them to the video. It was a fun exercise and made the video a little less boring. Hope you like it!
